We may not think the Image of God has any relationship to social justice. Yet, whether we think God created humans and thus gave them dignity and equal value in God’s eyes, or we believe that somehow every human being has an innate dignity and value, the following excerpt from one of my favorite Rabbis may inform us of how justice is a right of every human being.
